My husband and I are fortunate to have great friends; they come from all walks of life. A lot of our friends happen to be terrific musicians or have incredible musical talent, so one day we all decided that it might be fun to put our heads again and form a band. This musical “project” is in the beginning stages, but I’m incredibly proud of the small steps we’ve made. I’m also quickly learning that if you want to get gigs, then you’ve usually also got to look the part.
I wish I could say that I was blessed with a full head of gorgeous, thick hair. Unfortunately, I’m not. Since becoming a mother, my hair has thinned out greatly over the years. I’ve used countless volumizing and thickening products, but many of them leave my hair with a sticky, unnatural residue.
When we decide to buy something, anything, we do our best to think it through.
Do we need it?
Do we want it?
Will it improve our lives?

Black Friday Haul 2015
Did you brave the crowds on Black Friday? Did you score any hot deals? I caught a few people lined up on the morning of Thanksgiving! It was pretty cold that morning. I took my son on a walk that morning and saw a line formed in front of Best Buy! I saw a few tents and everyone bundled up in jackets, hats and blankets. There was also a few other stores in the same shopping center and throughout the day, my son and I went for a walk just to get some fresh air and exercise. The line started forming outside of Old Navy around 2pm or 3pm.
Having straight hair, I am always looking for quick and easy ways to add bounce and volume to my hair. There were days that I would curl my hair with a curling iron and then I learned I could do the same with a flat iron. When I add curls to the ends of my hair, my hair looks so bouncy! When I was asked to try VOLOOM, I quickly agreed!

This past weekend, I found myself making some much needed upgrades. I have avoided shopping online since I have been a stay at home mom and full time blogger. We are living on one full time income right now, plus, I really don’t have the need to update my wardrobe for work anymore.
As you are probably aware, areas of the United States are getting hit with snow. If you are not getting snow, you may still be experiencing cold weather! It has been cold and overcast! Some days, I need to wear two layers of clothing which includes my fleece and a jacket. I also bundle up my son extra warm on those days. If you are looking to beat the winter blues, keep reading! Happy New Year! I have been couponing at Walgreens for the last few weeks. I have decided since we have a nice little stockpile of things, I am going to stop couponing for a few awhile.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted my coupon savings from Walgreens! I just recently started couponing again. My husband is working now, so I can now buy the Sunday paper (for the coupons) and save at Walgreens! I am slowly re-building my little stockpile of non-food items!
Everything I purchased below, I used a coupon. I did two separate transactions since I earned Register Rewards (RR) on two products and used the RR’s towards the second transaction.
