Their commitment to the American dream has helped many locally sourced farmers and beekeepers continue strengthening America’s agriculture economy. Amazing right?

Dixie Vodka‘s Southern pride influenced the 5 flavors that represent everything that is the South. From Black Pepper, Wildflower Honey to Peach, the flavors are all unique and cocktail ready. Dixie Vodka is the perfect accompaniment for dinners and the star of Southern tailgating.

Yet there is so much more to Dixie than vodka and the American dream. Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit!

A Vodka That Helps Save the Bees?

Dixie Vodka collaborated with an amazing company that has a mission to save the bees. The Savannah Bee Company created ‘The Bee Cause Project’ that installs observation honey bee hives in schools worldwide. To date, they have installed hives in 330 schools across the 50 American states and in 4 countries.

This helps future generations build and develop STEAM skills by learning the importance of honey bees in our environment. What really wins my heart, this collaboration empowers students and teachers to witness the natural beauty that honey bees have to offer.

Dixie Wildflower Honey is infused with South Eastern honey from wild flowers grown from the Savannah Bee Company. This gives the vodka a floral scent and a sweet taste. For every bottle of Dixie Wildflower Honey purchased, Dixie will sponsor hives across the United States.

So pick up a bottle and help save our honey bees!

Honey Lavender Lemonade

I improvised with the honey lavender tea and used lavender tea bags and honey . On Dixies site they tell you how to make the tea with fresh lavender which is hard to find during the winter. This one was not too lemony and was a little on the drier side. Has a mild sweet taste. If you are someone who enjoys gin, this one may be for you!

Combine Dixie Wildflower Honey Vodka, lavender tea in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake up and pour into your favorite drinking vessel and garnish with a lemon slice & lavender sprig.

Dixie Honey Crisp

All I can say is ‘oooo‘. It’s so different, sweet and fruity. Reminds me of a hard grape juice. You can taste the apples and the sweetness of the simple syrup. You may have had to prepare the simple syrup the night before, but it was definitely worth it. Out of the 3, this one took the longest to prepare, but tastes the best. A cocktail recipe that is meant to impress.

  • 2 oz. Dixie Wildflower Honey Vodka
  • .75 oz. of fresh lemon juice
  • .75 honey crisp apple simple syrup***
  • 1 dash of Angostura bitters
  • .25 oz. creme de violette
  • Thinly sliced apple slices and lavender sprigs for garnish.

Combine Dixie Wildflower Honey Vodka, lemon juice, honeycrisp apple syrup and angostura bitters in a shaker. Strain into a glass full of ice. Float the creme de violette on top and garnish with apple slices and lavender sprigs.

*** To make the honey crisp simple syrup, simply dissolve 2 cups of sugar into water in a saucepan. Add the sliced apples (with skin) & bring the mixture to boil. Remove from the heat and let it cool overnight. Store in an airtight container for future use.

Wildflower Hot Toddy

If you love hot toddies, this is an easy one to try. This tastes like a hot lemon tea with a hint of honey. It was very lemony. If you don’t want a very strong lemon taste, nix the lemon rind. Didn’t even notice an alcohol taste. Be careful, these will sneak up on you.?

Combine Dixie Wildflower Honey, hot water, and the honey in your favorite mug. Top with the juice of the lemon. Add the rind to your hot toddy for more lemon flavor.

Dixie vodka backs an amazing environmental cause and loves all things American. Have you picked up a bottle of Dixie Vodka yet?
