Favorite Summertime Grilling Products-Cameron's BBQ Grilling Pans-Steven Raichlen's Project Smoke Barbeque Rubs

Beauty Brite Disclosure

So, summertime in the South is in full force. The kids are out of school, my son (a recent high school graduate) is looking for his first job and getting ready to attend community college, and  my husband is puttering around the yard placing bird feeders and deer licks and grilling like a fool! Plenty of family events (and family drama), too, recently. LOL

It’s soooo hot and it’s been pretty stormy so far this year, but it would take a lot more than that to stop us from grilling out and enjoying our yard and covered deck. Cameron’s Products offer some really great grilling products that our family are enjoying this season.

Cameron's BBQ Grilling Pans and Steven Raichlen's Project Smoke Barbeque Rubs

My husband is the resident griller. I limit myself to using the George Foreman indoor countertop grill because I’m not going to be the one to mess up the outdoor grill. No Thank You!!! He really likes the Cameron’s Barbeque Grilling Pans because sometimes he likes to sauté peppers and onions alongside the beef or chicken, other times corn on the cob or potatoes.

This set of grilling pans are very sturdily made. So far, nothing has stuck to their non-stick carbon-steel grilling surfaces, everything just slides right off after grilling. They are for use with the grill lid open and up to 450 degrees. The heat-resistant handles make removing the pans from the grill easy without worrying too much about burning yourself. (Still, though, make sure you use pot holders or grilling mitts or something!)

Cameron's BBQ Grilling Pans and Steven Raichlen's Project Smoke Barbeque RubsThe two pan sizes included are 11 x 14 and 7-1/2 x 11. The metal of the pans and their handles is nice and thick for sturdiness but still lightweight. These are perfect sizes for family or backyard party functions. And they have been a total breeze to clean! (Important to me, because though he does all the grilling, I do all the cleaning up afterward.) I haven’t had to spend any time at all scrubbing anything off of them, food seems to release very easily when hand washing. I’m not sure if they are dishwasher-safe, but these kind of pans are ones that I generally hand wash in the sink anyway.

Cameron's BBQ Grilling PansThe perforated grilling surface allows food to heat evenly and bring out their natural flavors without sliding through the holes. You can use them for any meats, seafood, veggies or fruits, if you’re feeling adventurous. I can’t wait to try out making grilled pineapple and kabobs with them this summer!

Steven Raichlen's Project Smoke Barbeque RubsMy husband has been interested in experimenting with meat rubs in recent years. So, I knew that Steven Raichlen’s Project Smoke World-Influenced Barbeque Rubs would be right up his alley. We opened each one and sniffed the contents. Each one had rich smelling aromas. My favorite is the Greek Island Herb Rub. I’m not usually one for fennel, but the Fennel Pepper Rub really intrigues me, too! He generally goes for steak rubs with deep woody aromas, but he’s excited to try each of these varieties. I guess I did good, huh?

He sprinkled a little of one of the rubs (but I’ll be darned if I can remember now which one it was) on some burgers and sautéed peppers and onions one evening. They were delicious! I mentioned before that I’m looking forward to trying grilled pineapple this summer, so I’m wondering if one of these rubs might even be good to use with that. Worth a try! (I’m thinking maybe trying the Greek Island Herb Rub might be worth a shot).

There are three varieties to choose from (and all are gluten free and kosher):

  • American BBQ Combo (3-pack): Kansas City Smoke Rub, Carolina Pit Powder, and Santa Fe Coffee Rub
  • International BBQ Combo (3-pack): Malabar Steak Rub, Greek Island Herb Rub, and Fennel Pepper Rub
  • World-Wide BBQ Combo (6-pack): This combines both American and International Combos above, for a world-wide bbq experience!

Bring on the summertime fun!
