The kids are out of school. Summers are for family time, having fun, and enjoying the weather. We share a fun and delicious gluten-free strawberry peach crisp recipe! This is the perfect gluten-free summer dessert!

Summer is upon us and one of our favorite activities includes Saturday strolls at the local farmers market. Whether you’re looking for fresh fruit or in-season produce, one great recipe to add to this summer’s go-to list is Gluten-Free Strawberry Peach Crisp! That’s right a delicious GLUTEN-FREE dessert that will wow your guests and your family too!

Finding a gluten-free dessert

About a year ago, my two daughters were diagnosed with Celiac disease – which means they must avoid gluten at all costs. With this has come ALOT of trial and error with some of our favorite recipes on finding ingredients that work well with our traditional recipe but also omit the grainy texture often found with gluten-free flours.

With summer upon us, I have been anxiously searching for recipes to utilize all of our farmer’s market finds before they expire and turn to mush. Strawberries and peaches were on this week’s list and I am happy to say I found a recipe that worked!

Gluten-Free Strawberry Peach Crisp

Gluten-Free Strawberry Peach Crisp

A delectable gluten-free dessert that your family and friends are sure to enjoy!

  • 4-5 Large Peaches Skin, core, and cut into bite size pieces
  • 8-10 Strawberries Cut into Bite Size Pieces
  • 1/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar This is is for the sauce.
  • 1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar This is for the Crisp
  • 1/2 Cup Gluten-Free Old Fashioned Oats
  • 2/3 Cup Gluten-Free Flour `We used King Arthur Gluten-Free Measure for Measure with this recipe.
  • 1/3 Cup Melted Butter OR Coconut Oil Coconut Oil gives this crisp a great summer taste while providing a Dairy Free/Vegan Alternative to Butter!
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • 3 Tsp Cornstarch or Arrowroot
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract


  • For the filling you will need to combine the following ingredients in a mixing bowl and then add to an 8×8 baking dish:
    Freshly sliced Peaches
    Freshly Sliced Strawberries
    1/3 Cup of Water
    1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
    3 tsp of Cornstarch
    1/2 tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • For the Crust you will need to mix the following ingredients in a mi xing bowl and then add on top of the fruit mixture above:
    1/3 Cup of Melted Butter OR Coconut Oil
    1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
    1/2 Cup of Gluten Free Old Fashioned Oats
    2/3 Cup of Gluten Free Flour
    1/2 tsp of Cinnamon
  • Bake at 350 Degrees for approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your level of preferred done-ness. You can also broil for 2-3 minutes on High to achieve a more crispy finish for the crisp portion of this dessert
