You don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. Cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore but more of an opportunity to get your family involved and teach them how to do it well. I am going to give you some tips that will help keep you on track with keeping your house clean! Relax, this won’t take much time but you will feel better knowing that your house is clean.

Make a schedule for cleaning

This is really helpful if you are a busy mom and are tired of feeling like the house needs to be cleaned. It’s not as overwhelming as it seems when you have time set aside in your day for cleaning. Don’t schedule too much into one day but rather make multiple days throughout the week that you can clean.

Don’t feel like you have to follow the schedule exactly. You can adapt and change it as needed.

Clean as you go

As to avoid getting overwhelmed and potentially procrastinating the cleaning chores, don’t wait until your house is so messy that it takes hours of work to clean it. Start as soon as there is a mess and work from that point. This will save you frustration in the long run. It will also save you the risk of getting pests in your home if the mess is left for too long. This is especially important in areas where food is consumed. To avoid a company like Pest Control Experts needing to deal with unwanted visitors, make sure to wipe up crumbs as they fall. It’s so easy to start cleaning before something gets messy but once a big mess happens, it takes much longer to get your house back in order again.

Clean as you go

One of the best tips I can give is to have a designated area in your home for things that need to go. When there is trash (broken toys, packing boxes, papers, etc) lying around, it’s easy to lose things and clutter can start to build up really fast. The trash area is great because you store the items that don’t work or have been damaged.

Keep up with laundry

Use a robot vacuum

Using a robot vacuum is one of my favorite ways to keep the house clean. I love that it is so easy to take care of cleaning up and just push a button.

The Neato Robot vacuums act as your cleaning sidekick. You can easily mop the floors or clean other areas of the home, while the Neato Robot vacuum does its job!

Enlist help from the kids

Don’t underestimate the power of your kids. Let them help you to do some of the cleaning chores and it will teach them responsibility and they may even want to do some chores too.

Use natural cleaners

Use natural cleaners instead of harsh chemicals like bleach or Lysol which can be toxic for pets and children. I like using baking soda and vinegar to clean up. It’s inexpensive and natural! I also use natural cleaning sprays as much as possible.

For deep cleaning, I reach for bleach, especially for the toilet bowl! I have used Lysol for further disinfecting, especially with trying to keep us healthy.

The school year is here and you’re wondering how you’ll keep your house clean? You don’t need a maid or hours of time. With these six tips, you can have a clean home in no time! Use a robot vacuum to save yourself so much time and energy. It’s your own personal sidekick. Follow these simple steps today to make sure your house stays clean this year!
