My Review:

I cannot cook.  I am a disaster.  I can make basic meals with rice, steamed vegetables and pastas.  I also favor making frozen meals.  I have tried baking muffins and breads with success.  I am willing to keep trying.  I can read and follow recipes.  I get overwhelmed when recipes list a ton of ingredients.

Taste of Home Cooking School Cookbook is an easy to read and follow cookbook.  There are lots of great tips for beginners, along with pictures of what tools to use.  The book is broken down into the following sections: Appetizers, Drinks, Better Than Takeout, Soups, Beef & Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Vegetarian, Side Dishes, Breakfast, Baking and Desserts.  Each recipe includes a beautiful picture and easy to understand instructions.

There are over 400 recipes for me to explore.  I like every section except meals involving meat, as I am a vegetarian.  This book makes it easy to get started in the kitchen!  If you need meal ideas, this cookbook is the perfect place to start.
