Silky smooth feet
The one single thing that I hate the most about personal care is trying to care for the appearance of my feet. Having silky smooth feet is desirable, though it can be a pain in the butt to achieve. But, I like to wear flip flops and sandals when the weather is nice outside during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. So, I keep a pumice stone in the bathtub for the purpose of trying to keep my feet looking nice.
I know I could forgo that chore and just go to a salon or spa and get someone else to do it for me. And I also know that a single pedicure may not be that expensive, but those small amounts of money do add up over time.

I have found a really interesting appliance to help with this task. The Brio SilkStone Electric Pedicure File is a battery-powered handheld pedicure file that makes easy and quick work of removing the dry and flaky exterior layers of skin from feet, leaving behind smooth, healthy skin layers.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from such an appliance since I’ve never tried anything like this before. But, I was intrigued to find out whether it would make the task of caring for the skin on the bottoms of my feet quicker and easier.
Also, just about every home appliance these days has to be plugged in or placed on a charging station, which means that one has to keep up with where to place those chargers or how to keep up with which cord goes with which product. Ugh. It’s enough to give a person a headache.

What I like about this pedicure file is that:
- There are NO charging cords or charging stations to keep up with.
- All you need to power this small appliance are two AA batteries.
- Replacing the rollers is very fast and easy.
- It’s shaped intelligently to be easily held comfortably in your hand.
- It’s small and will be easily stashed away in any kind of drawer or cabinet your home has available.

The first time I used it, I had intentionally let my feet go and not used the pumice stone at all on them in a few weeks so that I could see how well it would work. I was pretty amazed at how quickly and easily it started sloughing off the dead skin.

I couldn’t believe how easy the Brio Electric Pedicure File was to use, or how quickly it began to slough off the dried skin on my heels.

It’s the absolute easiest time I’ve ever had in smoothing the roughness of my feet. And, it’s going to be a go-to tool as we move forward toward spring and summer when I’m going to want to break out my sandals and flip flops.
What’s your go-to product favorite to get ready for sandal weather?
