Important Safety Beach Essentials

Important Safety Beach Essentials
Beauty Brite Disclosure

It’s summer and that means park visits, camping trips, family vacations, and spending many days at the beach. If you’re like me that means, many Miskito bites, sun burns, allergy attacks, bumps from tripping, and other various minor injuries that can happen. This is where CVS is here to help.

I’ve always been an avid CVS shopper, they always have sales, what I need, offer many coupons, and it doesn’t hurt that they’re just two minutes away. Here are just a few things you may want to have on hand the next time you’re having a beach day with friends or family.

First Aid Spray and Liquid Bandage Spray

First Aid

You never know what can happen at the beach, it is best to be prepared with a few first aid items will come in handy. Instant First Aid Spray ($6.49), and Liquid Bandage Spray ($7.79) are great to have on hand. The liquid bandage spray is used for minor scrapes and abrasions. Clean the affected area, dry it, and hold the can an inch from the wound and spray on a light coating. Wait about 60 seconds for it to try and re-apply if needed. The product is going to wear off as the skin heals. The first aid spray has benzocaine for pain relief and triclosan for first aid antiseptic. It’s going to provide instant cooling plus pain and itch relief. This is used for minor burns, cuts, scrapes, and itching caused by insect bites.

While there are many different options available, you can save a lot of money buying the CVS brands. They’re just as great as name brand, and you’re going to spend less… even more with a coupon!

Nasal Spray from CVS

Allergy Medicine

As someone with serious allergy problems, you never know when an attack is going to happen. This is why being prepared is important. You’ll be surprised how you can go from having fun to having a horrible allergy and being pretty miserable in a matter of minutes. Having the CVS Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray ($18.99) is going to help save your family trip. It’s a full prescription strength, non-drowsy allergy symptom reliever nasal spray that provides 24-hour relief of nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy nose, and sneezing. Believe me, the CVS brand works just as good as the more expensive name brand.

CVS Lip Repair with Sunscreen

Lip Care

While many people always use their sunscreen for protection, but one thing they sometimes forget is lip care. After being out in the sun all day at the beach, you’ll be surprised how dry your lips could get. The CVS Lip Repair Sunscreen SPF 20 Lip Protectant ($2.49) will keep your lips looking youthful with sun protection, moisturizer, and antioxidants. Plus its slim packaging will fit perfectly in your handbag or beach bag.

Abound Delicious Snack Bars

No beach day is complete without some snacks. I always try to pack healthier items when hanging out at the beach. If I can’t find that, I always try to pack something that’s not going to make a mess, and just enough so that I don’t have anything to bring back home with me. Another great soption are snack bars from Abound, I got to try out the Peanut Butter & Dark Chocolate Nut Bar, and the Mango and Greek Yogurt Nut Bar ($1.67). I have to admit I didn’t like the Mango one. I’ve just never been a fan of that or Greek yogurt. But let me tell you, the Peanut Butter was pretty dang good! It’s definitely filling if you’re not sure when you’re going to have lunch, which is a plus. I’m not the biggest fan of dark chocolate, but I didn’t mind it here. I think the peanut butter taste was stronger than the chocolate. For under $2 a bar, they’re definitely worth trying.

Beach days are always a fun-filled day with your family, but it’s always important to be prepared in case something happens. What are your safety items you always have on hand when you’re out at the beach with the family?
