So many hair tutorials, so little time! And once you’ve found a good look, it can be hard to re-create it at home without the right products. I created a super easy look that works for me. I like simple styles. Now that I am a stay at home mom, I rarely even bother styling my hair!

Suave Gift Basket

I wanted to add volume and bounce to my hair. I admit, I desperately want to get my hair cut! It is much longer than I prefer but I’ve been too busy with taking care of my family to even take the time to get a haircut.

Here are the products I used: Suave Sea Mineral Sea Infusion Shampoo, Suave Sea Mineral Sea Infusion Conditioner, Suave Luxe Volume Hairspray and TRESemme Extra Hold Hairspray.

Step 1: Start with clean and dry hair

First and foremost, start with clean and dry hair. Use the Suave Sea Mineral Sea Infusion Shampoo to cleanse your hair. Use a dollop of shampoo and massage into your scalp and hair. I tend to allow the shampoo to soak into my hair and scalp for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Then follow with the Suave Sea Mineral Sea Infusion Conditioner, same application as the shampoo.

Find Your Style Before

Step 2: Allow hair to dry or use a hair dryer

After showering, I allow my hair to air dry or use a hair dryer since it can easily take hours for my hair to dry. I prefer to shower in the evening which makes it quicker to get ready in the morning.

Step 3: Add volume

I have a hair tool called the VOLOOM that helps add volume to my hair. If you have your own device or method, use what works for you. If you have a hair crimper, you could do the same method of adding volume. Section out your hair from the crown and clip the top layer of hair. From there, take a second layer of hair and use the VOLOOM or crimper. I personally use VOLOOM about two or three times down my hair, starting from near my scalp. I only do two layers on each side of my part. It seems to add just enough ooomph!

After I get the volume I want, I lock it in with Suave Luxe Volume Hairspray. My hair does not hold a look or curl for very long, especially when it is long like it is. The Suave Luxe Volume Hairspray helps keep my volume in place!

Step 4: Add bounce and more volume

When I curl my hair, it adds so much bounce and volume! As you can see, my hair is straight. So when I do add curl, it makes a difference!

Find Your Style After

I use a flat iron to curl my hair. No more crooked ends. When I used a curling iron, I always forgot the ends of my hair and ended up with crooked ends. The flat iron is easier for me to use to curl my hair.

I then follow up with TRESemme Extra Hold Hairspray to seal in the curls!

Find Your Style Side by Side

As you can see from my before and after, I have added volume and bounce! Again, with my hair as long as it is, it does not hold a curl that great! When my hair is shorter, the curl holds much longer and my hair has more bounce and volume!
