I am in a near-constant struggle with my dry skin. It is most noticeable on my hands, which are regularly exposed to the harsh elements of the dry winter weather as well as household cleaners, among other common skin irritants.
Nubian Heritage offers a line of skincare products that target dry skin and inject a little bit of the tropics into your personal care routine, to boot. I am a beach bum, at heart, so I really love the Coconut and Papaya scents that are used in their dry/chapped skin care line.
Nubian Heritage Coconut & Papaya Skincare Collection targets dry, chapped skin with all-natural, cruelty-free products that are manufactured without sulfates, parabens, phtalates, petroleum, DEA, artificial fragrance or synthetic coloring.

Nubian Heritage Coconut And Papaya Body Lotion
Coconut & Papaya Body Lotion (13 fl. oz. bottle) is formulated with coconut oil as well as papaya and vanilla extracts to nourish and moisturize dry skin. Other ingredients include organic shea butter, aloe vera and vitamin E to soften and soothe.
For best results, it’s recommended to apply to slightly damp skin. I love to use this after a nice, relaxing bath or shower (usually right before bedtime). I just smooth it on before getting dressed for bed and let it soak into my skin overnight. When I wake up, the soft and hydrated state of my skin is great and the coconut/papaya scent is a great way to wake up and get motivated for the day ahead.
Coconut & Papaya Body Souffle (7.5 fl. oz. tub) includes all the same great ingredients as the body lotion but is a bit thicker in texture. You put a small amount in your hands and rub before applying to polish and renew skin.
I think this is great for feet, elbows and knees as it seems to coat those drier areas of my body a little more thoroughly than the body lotion alone.
Coconut & Papaya Hand Cream (4 fl. oz. tube) is perfect for sitting next to my kitchen sink or tossing in my purse for fast application anytime my hands feel dry. If I had to choose only one of these products to purchase, the hand cream would be the one I’d go with, simply because my hands are easily the driest part of my body due to the constant exposure to the elements and cleaners and the fact that I wash my hands many times a day.
Coconut & Papaya 24 Hour Deodorant (2.25 oz.) is the one item from this line of products that I was most dubious about trying. Not because I didn’t think it would work, but more or less because I already have a favorite brand of deodorant that I prefer to use. But, try it I did. And I will say that it works just as well as my other regular brand.
Also available in the Nubian Heritage Coconut & Papaya line of products are a body wash, bar soap as well as travel-size bottles of the lotion and body wash.
If dry skin isn’t your issue, they also offer product lines to address skin rejuvenation, aging skin, and even oily skin.
The most interesting fact about Nubian Heritage to me is that the company works hard to give disadvantaged peoples a chance to help their communities. Check out this YouTube video for more information on that!
