… [read more]We recently celebrated our second Christmas in our new home. It’s been a tough year, however, I am making it work for us.
We’ve been in our home for over a year now! Last year was our first Christmas in our new home. We had just moved in barely two weeks prior to the holidays. My son and I literally had no furniture, except our mattresses. At the time, I was just thankful we had our home and getting settled in. I was a new homeowner, unpacking and organizing all on my own.
… [read more]I’ve been making the time and effort to be more involved with my son’s class. A few months ago, I chaperoned his first field trip ever and he’s in 8th grade. His second field trip of the year was just a few days ago and it was his first visit with Santa!
Santa Day was hosted by our local Alta Regional Center for families of special needs children. They act as advocates by helping to navigate/find services within our community.
… [read more]I’ve never had a Christmas tree in all of my adult life. However, now that I’m a homeowner and a single mom, I thought it is the perfect time to start my own little traditions! This is our second Christmas in our new home! It is time to decorate with our first Christmas tree!
Thanksgiving came and went. We had a nice and quiet vacation! The holidays are here. Now, we’re on another vacation! I love this time of year because it gives me a chance to recharge for the new year and look back on the current year.
