Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer Gel Recipe
Our DIY Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer Gel allows you to make your own hand sanitizer at home! Times are tough. We are in this together!
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup Aloe Vera gel
- 1 Cup 120 proof or higher drinking alcohol or 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol
- 1 tbsp vegetable glycerin
- 1/2 tbsp sweet almond oil
- 1/2 tbsp rosehip oil
- 5-10 drops lime essential oil
- 5-10 drops spearmint oil
- 5-10 drops basil essential oil
- 3 3 ounce plastic squeeze top travel bottles
- Measuring cup
- Funnel
- Whisk
Instructions
- Add your aloe gel, and alcohol to a measuring cup and whisk together.
- Add the vegetable glycerin and rosehip oil.
- *Whisk in your essential oils. We have chosen essential oils that are shown to be safe for children. Please refer to online guidelines for the safe ratio of essential oils to carrier oils for the age of your child. You can double the amount of essential oils you are using if you are making the recipe for adults.
- Using a funnel, add the mixture into your bottle, stopping about ½” from the top. Add the top and screw on tightly. Affix your label!
