With each passing year, I find myself re-evaluating the products I use to stay healthy. I like to monitor the wellness products I use as well. I am always looking to try new methods, different products, and more.

When it comes to health, many people tend to make big changes all at once and then lose motivation shortly after. It goes with the idea of making New Year’s Resolutions, people set a high goal of losing so much weight, they start their journey and then somehow get lost with the shuffle of life.

Here’s a funny example of trying to go extreme with changes:

When I want to make changes, I take it slow. Otherwise, I know I will eventually lose focus. I’ve noticed that as I get older, my sleep pattern gets easily messed up.

Sleep Quality Matters

Choosing the right pillow for you makes all the difference. For a while, I was sleeping on memory foam pillows. After several months, I realized I needed something different. I was sleeping so soundly that I would wake up with a pain in the neck or my ear would hurt. There were times I even woke up with a headache.

A few months ago, I bought new pillows for my son’s bed. The reviewers were glowing and they were on sale, so I took a chance. I found myself sleeping so soundly. The pillows are extremely soft and supportive. They don’t lose their shape or heat up. I actually kicked myself for not buying two more for my own bed.

I like the Quest Nutrition Four Cheese Pizza, so I make that one for myself. Add a side of veggies and rice or quinoa and it’s a nice lunch or dinner. I love that we always have leftovers!

If I’m on a budget, I can easily make the Quest Nutrition Four Cheese Pizza and add my own toppings. Add a few side dishes and we have a meal for my son and myself.

Add Low-Impact Exercise

Never be afraid to go back to your favorite exercises.

I originally found pilates from watching an infomercial. Years later, I found cardio, cardio kickboxing, and other cardio/high-intensity workout programs. Unfortunately, due to injuries and health, I had to stop doing the extreme type of workouts and go back to my favorite exercises. I discovered yoga and added my favorite pilates in my routine.

These days, I am walking and doing yoga throughout the week. I am keeping it easy and light. I don’t want to stress myself out trying to keep up with a workout schedule.

My next step is adding a little cardio. I originally started with Tae Bo and plan on adding a few workouts throughout the week. You can find a nice selection of Tae Bo workouts at Target. You can easily get started with the Tae Bo Platinum Collection, it includes 4 workouts on 1 DVD!

Find a balance with your fitness. Find programs that make you feel good and improve your health.

Reward Yourself

There are various ways to reward yourself. You can always treat yourself to a new workout outfit, new shoes, or even indulge in delicious treats!
