Pep Up Your Dish With Pesto

My son and I keep our food pretty simple. He loves pasta and soups, which is just fine with me. I like making simple meals for us. We both eat different dinners since he is a picky eater and I eat fairly small meals these days. We share a fun way to pep up your dish with pesto!

I am so excited to try Barilla® Creamy Genovese Pesto! When I do eat pasta, I like simple sauces, such as pesto! Not only that, the Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto is a flavor-packed, versatile, and convenient pantry staple that satisfies cravings for Italian food. This means you can use it on pasta, sandwiches, and snacks! It has a creamy, smooth texture that is so savory!

The 6.2 ounce jar may be small, but a little goes a long way! I add a thin layer to my sandwich and it is packed with flavor!

The Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto is a perfect versatile product for the busy parent! It can be used in a variety of ways and does not need to be heated before using!

As a single mom, I always feel like I am juggling everything and trying to balance the world on my shoulders. From managing our household, to doctor’s appointments, school, and more, it can be overwhelming. By the time our day is over, I am ready to whip up something simple for us!

Pep up your snacks

My son and I love snacks. We tend to favor crunchy snacks! I am always looking to switch out our go-to potato chips for another crunchy snack. This time, I tried pita crackers! These are new to us, and my son loved them!

For added flavor, we paired the pita crackers with Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto! My son went nuts for the crackers and when I showed him he could dip his crackers, he loved it even more!

Pep up your sandwiches

As a vegetarian, I still like to have a sandwich with “lunch meat.” Thankfully, I am able to buy plant-based turkey slices.

I make a simple “turkey” sandwich with swiss cheese, cucumber, and spinach (or any lettuce). For added flavor, I like to add a  layer of Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto! Usually, I use avocado, but this time I wanted something different!

Next, I plan on making a simple pasta dish with Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto!
