Happy New Year And Moving Forward In 2018

Happy New Year And Moving Forward In 2018

Hello 2018 and Happy New Year!

2017 was a rocky year for my family. I realized my husband and I were growing apart and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

My husband got a new job in another state in March and moved that same month to get settled in before my son and I could move. I stayed behind so our son could finish the school year.

We moved in mid-June,  just after our son graduated 5th grade. With my husband’s new job, he was barely at home. When he was at home, he chose to be consumed by work and everything else.

He was happier at work. He was happier to be away from his family. What could I do?

After 5 months, I saw how much his precious job kept him traveling and I decided it was time to leave. I honestly didn’t want to leave mid-school year. That was the toughest choice. Our son loves school and just getting acquainted with a new school and teachers in a new state.

We’ve been separated and apart for almost two months now. Our son loves school as always and seems to have adapted well!
