Are you trying to get a little creative with decorating or making use of what you have? I have a love for mason jars, and there are so many different ways that you can use them. After being sent some Ball® Spiral Regular Mouth Pint Mason Jars ($8.99/4 count) to test out, I thought, why not share the different ways you can use them?

You can have these in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and office… and I’m about to show you how!

Different ways to use Mason Jars

After seeing hundreds of Pinterest posts where people used mason jars (plastic ones) as drinking glasses I couldn’t help but hop on that trend. These particular jars are glass so you have to be a little more careful. The Ball® Spiral Regular Mouth Pint Mason Jars are 16 oz jars, so they’re great to put your favorite drink in along with a stylish straw. My goal is to drink my water and I like using it for that, you could also add lemon slices if you enjoy having that in your water. For me, I pour my ice in there and then my Dasani water bottle. Since I’m an avid Diet Coke drinker, my goal is to drink 5 glasses a day, the first one being the bottle of the water than the rest just from the faucet.

You can also mix your own favorite drink in there, on the box they give you a recipe for a delicious Strawberry Lemonade Concentrate. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’d imagine you can also add your own brewed cold coffee in it. Your options really are endless. If you like to have a glass of water by your bed at night like I do, just be careful you don’t knock it over… or your 14 lb cat doesn’t get any crazy ideas and knock it over.

The smaller mason jars are great if you just moved into your first place and you’re not sure how to decorate. They go with anything in the bathroom and fit cotton balls and Q-Tips perfectly! I’m pretty big on making sure things are sanitary so you can choose to keep the lid on it. Because you don’t have a ton of counter space, the smaller, thinner mason jars are going to be the best option here. Once you’ve decorated your bathroom you can always move these to the kitchen and use them for cooking or as drinking glasses.

Other than drinking, my favorite use of mason jars is storing my makeup brushes. I’ve seen YouTube videos where people painted their mason jars and placed it on their vanity/desk and showcased their favorite/most used brushes. Since seeing these videos I’ve been inspired to do that. While I wasn’t able to paint them, the Ball® Spiral Regular Mouth Pint Mason Jars are the perfect size for your brushes. What’s great is how affordable they are so you can buy two: one for eye brushes, and one for face brushes. If you’re able to, you can get another to store dirty brushes that need to get cleaned.

A fun way to use your mason jars is to put candy in there. You can pour in your favorite choice of M&Ms (I love peanut), and just let people grab some as they walk by your desk. Another fun option is to put candy canes in the inside going around the jar, and in the middle have the holiday minutes. It’s a fun, festive way to decorate your desk for the holidays.
